Graph Theory  is an introductory course that presents the fundamental concepts, structures, and techniques of graph theory. Graph theory is an interdisciplinary field connecting mathematics, computer science, and operations research. It provides powerful mathematical tools for modeling and solving problems involving relationships, networks, connections, and dependencies.

The course introduces students to the basic language and concepts of graphs and progressively develops their ability to analyze graph structures and solve fundamental graph-theoretic problems. Particular attention is given to trees, planar graphs, graph coloring, matchings, independent sets, cliques, and classical graph-theory theorems.

Graph theory has numerous practical applications, including network design, scheduling, transportation systems, social networks, communication networks, chemistry, and optimization.
