This practical work handout for the "Soil Mechanics I" module has been written for 2nd year Civil Engineering students. It follows the official program of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It is aimed at students in a number of specialties, including construction and public works. Their aim is to provide the basis for understanding soil behavior, so as to be able to design, build and control structures with which the soil has a significant interaction.
In just one semester, this handout equips students with knowledge of different soils, as well as mastery of the use of the various equipment used to carry out laboratory tests, so that they can be used and mastered in the field of civil engineering.
