Introduction to Translation English-Arabic

This course is designed to improve students’ inter-lingual English-Arabic communicative competences. Students learn about the nature and requirements for the translation act. Emphasis is on the practice of translating English to Arabic in a variety of prose texts.  Students should be able to demonstrate usage and understanding of translation techniques involved in translating. This course is also an occasion to guide students, through practice, to address their grammar, expression, spelling, and style mistakes.
